The Guild: Community Clay Studios
A little about our beginning:
When the Lincoln Street Center for Arts and Education closed last June, it was a huge loss to the community. Four members of that studio got together to purchase the equipment and try to find another suitable space to re-launch a community Clay studio for our area. We were very fortunate to have joined forces with two fantastic community oriented partners and found not one, but two wonderful spaces.
The motive behind original four “guild-ees” purchase of the LSC equipment, was to keep a dedicated clay studio available to the community with as little expense as possible. Working collaboratively, sharing the responsibility for management and circling all fees back in to the rent and operational expenses of the studios is a way to do just that.
We are committed to teach when we can, share our knowledge and support others in their own exploration, and network into the greater community to bring other clay artists and craftspeople to our area to teach us all what they know.
Classes and Workshops for all ages and Membership Available - contact Avery Larned or check find us on Facebook.
